Otsego officially became a City in 1990, and community leaders soon recognized the need for an annual festival to unite residents. Over the years, the Prairie Festival has grown into a cherished tradition, bringing the community together each September.

Supported by the City, community organizations, and local businesses like yours, the Otsego Prairie Festival has successfully attracted a diverse range of exhibitors, vendors, and activities to Prairie Park. Otsego Rod & Custom also hosts a popular car show, drawing even more visitors from across the Twin Cities. Each year, the Prairie Festival welcomes more than 10,000 attendees—and the number continues to grow.

Donations from business sponsors play a crucial role in the festival's success. These contributions help provide a variety of activities for all ages, including food vendors, inflatable jump houses, a portable game room, an entertainment tent, car show trophies, and the grand fireworks display to close out the event.
